The International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP) holds its annual congress accross different continents of its continental branches. Members from different countries convene for a combined business and scientific event: the annual general assembly and the scientific meetings.

This annual congress is normally held in the autumn (September or October) for a duration of 3 - 5 days. The specific time and location are determined by the the SIOP Council. SIOPE executives are also involved in the preparation of this congress. This year's congress, the 41st Annual Meeting of the International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP), takes place in São Paolo, Brazil from 5-9 October, 2009.
