The SIOPE Office was set up in Septemer 2007 in Brussels with a view to improving collaboration between European paediatric oncologists and strengthening interaction and communication between the European paediatric oncology community and EU policy makers.

The 2008/2009 work programme of the SIOPE office focuses on developing its capacity to disseminate information, promoting training and knowledge exchange and addressing its advocacy role at the European level for the benefit of children with cancer.
