SIOPE Organisational Structure
SIOPE General Assembly
SIOP Europe, the European Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOPE) is an international non-profit association registered in Belgium.
According to the statutes, the SIOPE General Assembly is called to meet at least once a year to discuss the broad policy of the association. Members of the SIOPE Board are elected by the General Assembly to oversee the work of the organisation.
SIOPE Board
Currently, members of the SIOPE Board are elected for a two-year term, renewable for only two consecutive terms.
The role of the SIOPE Board is to:
Advice the SIOPE Office on future directions and strategies;
Roadmap the annual work programme of the organisation;
Define priorities and targets;
Review SIOPE financial management and scrutiny of annual accounts;
Offer expertise on paediatric oncology.
SIOPE Board members also provide expert pediatric oncology, policy and management advice to the SIOPE Office.
SIOPE Groups & Committees
Currently there are two active group / committee within SIOPE:
Clinical Trials Group
Education & Training Committee
SIOPE Groups and Committees aim to steer collaboration between the relevant professionals on these two critical areas within the field of paediatric oncology in Europe.
SIOPE Office
The role of the SIOPE office is to ensure that the full work programme of the organisation is carried out efficiently and effectively, with the purpose of contributing to the development of optimal organizational practice. The office currently focuses on bettering coordination and facilitating up-coming activities among the working committees and its members.
The SIOPE office is located in Brussels, Avenue E. Mounier 83, with 3 permanent staff.
