EuroCancerComs is 2 year FP7-funded European Commission project aiming to establish an efficient network for general cancer communication in Europe.
The project assessed current barriers and recommended solutions for optimal dissemination of cancer data from translational research, clinical trials and epidemiological studies. The scope of ‘cancer information’ is vast, covering everything from patient information to on-line educational tools for clinicians. This project aimed therefore to provide novel ways to turn cancer information into intelligence.
The project is now closed, as it lasted from 2009 to 2011. The role of SIOPE within it was to coordinate the Work Package 3.
